Since 1957

In 1957, Robert (Bob) Anderson opened one of the first metallurgical consulting and testing laboratories as Robert Clark Anderson, Consulting Metallurgical Engineer. In the early 1960's, the company was reorganized as Anderson & Associates, Inc.  After a very successful career as a Metallurgist and technical author, Bob gradually retired from 1981 to 1983. Sons Steve and Randy joined the company very early on and worked through the various technician positions. Randy functions currently as VP of Testing. Steve took over as President in the mid-1980s and later hired Edgar Zapata as a professional engineer and eventually named as President, while Steve returned to being a Failure Analyst. Steve retired in 2017, but maintains a position on the Board of Directors and consults on business aspects of the company.

Founder Bob Anderson passed away in 2018 at the age of 91. The company and Family were happy to see a number of professional associates at his memorial service, a real testimony to his esteem in the metallurgical community.
